Apple undoubtedly makes gorgeous devices – iPhone, iPods and iPad. Out of all the iPhone 4 is certainly an engineering marvel (leaving the Antennae part out) with glass panels on both the sides. Now one has to be really careful while using the iPhone 4 daily. Square Trade’s study states that the iPhone 4 is most likely to be damaged accidentally instead of any software failure in the first year. This isn’t just another bluff in the air but a conclusion derived from year long study of 50000 warranty replacements.
As per the study, iPhone 4 broke 9.4 percent of the time in its first year while Motorola and HTC phones tied up for the second placel. Up to 6.3 per cent BlackBerry phones failed in the first year.
– The iPhone 3GS is least likely to fail, with BlackBerry not far behind
– The iPhone 3GS is least likely to fail, with BlackBerry not far behind
– Motorola, HTC, and the iPhone 4 failed slightly more often, but none are projected to exceed an overall failure rate of 16 percent
– The aggregated group of other smart phones had the highest incidence of failure–17 percent in the first year-making them 44 percent more likely to fail than the iPhone 3GS.
BlackBerry phones seem to have a sturdy physical structure compared to the Gorilla glass bearing iPhone 4. If you’ve bought an iPhone 4, ensure you take good care of the device, at least in the first year to change this statistic.
